Virtual development stages are checked for data consistency, collisions, and completeness in order to reduce costly changes in the development process. The ever-changing product data and the presence of different systems complicate the standardized processing of data errors. Many systems break and as a result, there are manual processing steps and high coordination efforts. The solution to this is a lightweight, end-to-end solution with direct CAD data integration.
- Avoidance of system breaks
- Work on the latest data status through direct CAD data integration
- Improved communication between process partners
- Transparency of process progress
Form the bridge between IT, department and development partner.
Our customer is a globally operating company in the automotive industry and one of the largest commercial enterprises in Germany. To enable the requirements of a continuous, virtual geometric validation process, the solution needed to be controlled starting from the requirements up to the implementation. The challenge was the integration of different departments, a new technology (Teamcenter Active Workspace) and the different expectations of functionality and user-friendliness of the solution.
Agility and the establishment of transparent and open communication.
The agile approach for offshore development required structured onsite steering. In this case, the focus was on integrating the various teams - both on the customer side and integrator side. With our expertise in agile and project management we were able to successfully take on this role.
The field of tension between the department's dynamic requirements and the existing conditions of the purchased solution were coordinated and controlled by workshops. This was always done in technical exchange with the client and on the basis of clear and transparent communication.
Implementation of a consistent and user-friendly validation platform.
Through the introduction of a leaner platform we were able to establish an end-to-end validation process. As a result, there was a reduction in documentation errors, a consistent workflow for all stakeholders and improved communication with our customers. The resulting transparency enabled our customers to adapt their requirements during the course of the project.
